Introduction to Mountain Veteran Ministries

Hey, welcome. Come on in. We were sitting out on the front porch somewhere, coffee in hand, looking out at the mountains. This is probably how the conversation would go. Life out here, it’s good in a lot of ways, but it can also be hard. People carry burdens just like everybody else. Stress, family worries, hell stuff, questions about the future.

And sometimes, even when you believe in God, faith can still feel a little distant. Not because God moved, but because life gets loud. That’s really why mountain veteran ministries exist. It’s just about bringing faith back into everyday life. Not complicated, not religious for the sake of religion, just real, practical,

Walking with Jesus day by day. This ministry was created as a technical outreach for why East Community Church and it comes from the same heart. Caring about people right here in our communities. Small towns, country roads, neighbors helping neighbors. We open the Bible together, talk about real struggles and try to figure out how faith

actually fits into our daily life because honestly this is for regular people. Working folks, families, retirees, people who sometimes feel overlooked or like they don’t quite fit into the big church environment. You don’t have to have everything together to be here. None of us do. You’ll find teaching, encouragement, prayer,

and a community that wants to walk alongside you, both locally and online. Now just a little about me. My name’s Don. I’ve walked through a lot of life, like most folks. Some good seasons, some pretty tough. But over and over again, I’ve seen God show up. And what I’ve learned at this, faith isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about learning to trust Jesus a little more every day. And my heart is simply to encourage people to do the same.

The mission here is pretty straightforward. Help people grow closer to Christ, find hope and live with purpose right where they are.
