Where We Come From
Mountain Veteran Ministries began as an idea rooted in our local church — Wy’East Community Church — nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Range in Odell and Pine Grove, Oregon. On Sundays, you’ll find us gathering in a modest building, wearing boots and denim, worshiping side-by-side, and listening as Pastor Doug Massingill — a retired Air Force veteran — preaches the Gospel with the kind of conviction that can melt even a snow-covered morning.
But we knew something important: the Good News of Jesus wasn’t meant to stay locked in a building or confined by a zip code. That’s why we’re launching into the digital world — because God’s Word belongs in every home, heart, and smartphone.
Mountain Veteran Ministries exists to bridge the gap between timeless truth and modern communication. We’re blending front-porch hospitality with broadband reach — creating content that speaks plainly and powerfully to real people in real life.

Livestream Worship
We broadcast our Sunday services live at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on YouTube and Facebook under Wy’East Community Church. Whether you’re a thousand miles away or just homebound for the day, pull up a chair and join us.

Why This Ministry Exists
We have seen how life can change in an instant — and come to believe that we cannot afford to waste a single moment. The world is loud with distraction, but the human soul is still quietly yearning for truth, for peace, for something unshakeable.
That’s what fuels this work. It’s about using technology not as a toy or a trap, but as a tool for connection, transformation, and truth. It’s about offering the Gospel with the same warmth you’d expect from a neighbor waving from across the fence — but now, through a screen and across the world.

Mountain Veteran Ministries is still growing — learning as we go, improving with every livestream, and trusting the Lord to open the right doors. We’re not slick. We’re not perfect. But we are sincere, and we are committed to spreading the message of Jesus as far as this technology will take us.

A Note on How We Work
Mountain Veteran Ministries is a collaboration of human calling and modern tools. This site leans on the research and analytic capabilities of AI technology — not to replace the voice of faith, but to extend its reach. We believe God equips each generation with the tools of their day, and we are using ours to spread His Word as widely as possible.
Every post is shaped by the pastoral heart of Wy’East Community Church and reviewed for faithfulness to Scripture. The message is ancient. The method is new. Both are in service of the same Lord.
